Under the theme; Reflect, Unite, join the conversation on the Ba queer Twogere, as voices of womxn share and reflect on the past and share stories of the journey of pride, how did they celebrate pride then and now; PRIDE MONTH PODCAST

VIRTUAL SOCIAL GATHERING; ANXIETY AND SUICIDE

Anxieties caused by stress, phobias, due to the implications of the existing law have resulted into suicidal attempts among the diverse community, we notice that, mental health challenges especially anxiety is associated to Suicide thoughts and as such, it was important to convene a virtual social gathering for womxn on conversation on anxiety and suicide, Create a candid safe space for womxn to share experiences and hold space for each other, create awareness on anxiety and suicide and encourage help seeking behaviors and references for support.

MENSTRUAL HEALTH ADVOCACY TRAINING

Menstrual Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of diseases in relation to menstruation.

We successfully held a menstrual health advocates training for LBQ womxn and it was to explore, and unpack menstrual health and its key components, understanding menstruation. This was important to equip and empower LBQ womxn to advocate for their menstrual health rights through deepening and enhancing their understanding of menstrual health as well as highlighting gaps for advocacy in mental health.
