We appreciate the E-medicine and Home-based care approach the Drop-in center continues to ensure that the womxn are availed and can access SRHR related services and information in affirming and non-discriminatory nature. The Drop-in center offers HIV/SRHR related, counselling services and also holds the Legal Aid Desk that offers Legal Aid, mediation, legal representation through referrals.

Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

Cervical cancer is a preventable disease, yet it remains a significant health threat to women worldwide, and in recognition of the Cervical Cancer Awareness month, through our online campaigns, we highlighted the importance pf cervical cancer prevention, screening and treatment, especially among the LBQ womxn.  together we can reduce the incidence of cervical cancer and save lives.

AWID FORUM 2024; RESOURCING THE REVOLUTION

A throwback to the AWID Forum 2024, FARUG shared on how Flexible funding has enabled the attainment of a Van, named Health on Wheels which allows the continuity of provision of health care to womxn in need at their location.

Virtual Support Circle; Setting the Agenda

Our virtual support circles are here and we continue to create safe mental spaces for the LBQ womxn leaders as they continue to cultivate and weave into collective healing support circle to provide a safe space for womxn leaders to reflect on their values, priorities and goals, share experience and with clear insight, guide themselves into the new year, as they create cultivate a mentally healthy and sustainable environment to continue doing their work.

26th  January is a day to recognize Kato David’s legacy, always a reminder to the LGBTIQ community of Uganda of their resilience, commitment, solidarity and love that they hold. His inspiration is a drive to continue thriving and fighting against homophobia. With his Legacy, we welcome LGBTIQ History Month, celebrating under the Theme; Activism and Social Change, upholding and appreciating the role that LGBTIQ+ individuals have played in driving social change through history.
