November was a flash, Reflective and a reminder to take account for our reflects, but also a reminder to continue commemorating the 16 Days of Activism, here is to some excitements of what aspired;
FARUG at ILGA
We are proud to have been part of the Lesbian Pre-conference at the ILGA World Conference. Centering discussions on LBQ organizing in Africa and globally, political participation and building a global Lesbian Coalition and Resistance and Renewal; Mental Health in the fight for LGBTIQ Liberation.
SRHR Budget Advocacy
In amplifying the womxn voices in SRHR budget advocacy efforts, we convened an SRHR Budget Advocacy training for womxn which aimed at building womxnโs capacities on Advocacy skills, and budget literacy to analyze, identify, and take part in the national budget processes, knowledge, skill and confidence, enhance their understanding of the SRHR issues, including HIV/AIDS, mental health and sexual violence and their impact on womxn, addressing intersectionality as well as foster community engagement through meaningful partnerships and collaborations with community leaders, policymakers hence promoting SRHR advocacy and budget accountability.
16 Days of Activism; Towards Beijing+30: End Violence Against Women and Girls.
In commemoration of the 16 Days of Activism, together with the rest of the globe, voices of the womxn continue to stand in solidarity, in raising more awareness of the invisible violence experienced by womxn and in LBQ relationships, corrective rape which is often unrecognized. Calling for action against GBV against women and girls. We all deserve a world where everyone is free from fear and harm.
