Our social Fridays continue to play an informative role in raising awareness and consciousness among womxn members, empowering them to seek and demand for their Sexual and reproductive rights and justice,  here is to how we engaged with our womxn constituency during the month of September.

Conversation on Menstrual Hygiene and Practices among womxn

The right to health involves access to information and services. For this SRHR conversation, we continue to create more awareness through information dissemination, thus empowering womxn with knowledge to prioritize their menstrual health, and general well-being, reduce stigmas, taboos on menstruation, and promote healthy menstrual practices and demand for their menstrual Health rights. Hence, adopting to new menstrual health practices and information.

 

 

 

 

 

 

International Safe Abortion Day 28th September; SRHR Boot Camp.

This is an annual day of action in support of the rights to safe abortion. Together with the world, we commemorated in refection to the theme ‘’uniting in solidarity for safe and legal abortion and reproductive justice, we created a safe space, SRHR camp that brought together health service providers who provide SRHR service to womxn.

 

 

 

 

These services included cervical cancer information and screening, HIV counseling and testing, information on how to use Self-testing kits, and information on Post Abortion Care and Comprehensive Abortion Care. If we are envisioning reducing maternity deaths, there is caution to explore deeper conversations on safe abortion as advancing reproductive justice and bodily autonomy, ensuring freedom for all women.
