As we conclude the Lesbian Visibility week, we seek to re-address Sexual Assault within the LBQ community which is rapidly a rampant vice due to many unreasonable causes such as corrective rape due to sexual orientations and identities, IPV among others which later groom mental health challenges. April is also observed as an opportunity to raise awareness as well as educate the public on how to prevent sexual violence, the way forward as well as appreciate and celebrate survivors of sexual assault. Sexual assault is never the fault of the victim, no matter what they were wearing, how they were behaving, how much they had to drink or their sexual histories. Sexual assault can take many different forms but one thing that remains clear is that it is never the victimโ€™s fault.
