ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Our community is built on the power of collective resilience. Despite the hurdles at the start of the year, we have remained each other’s safe harbor. We officially held our Annual General Meeting (AGM). As always, this was a vital time to reflect on our journey, celebrate our milestones, and strategize for a future where every womxn in Uganda can live with dignity and joy.

In a landscape where our safe spaces are constantly challenged, this AGM served as a brave space to evaluate our strategic interventions. Throughout the meeting, we highlighted our 2025 Annual Report, Leadership Updates, Community Visioning for 2026/27. Together, we continue to build, lead, and thrive. By investing in the tech skills of our community, we want to ensure that womxn are at the forefront of the digital revolution. We are thrilled to have recently we conducted a 2 days transformative AI Training specifically designed for womxn. The training was centered around mastering AI driven content creation to understanding data privacy and digital security, how to use AI in our work and life, Different AI models, different models of AI and their strengths and limits, which AI tools are most useful.
Throughout the training, womxn participants further explored problems that AI can cause, how AI reinforces bias against LBQ communities, risks related to privacy, surveillance, and data security when using AI tools. This training did not purposely only equip our community with the knowledge and skill but also embrace how artificial intelligence can be harnessed to amplify their voices and protect their spaces as well as to navigate the digital economy and refine advocacy.
